What is Westie-Owned?

Westie-Owned is a space to support and celebrate the people in our West Coast Swing Community — from small businesses and creatives to passions you want to grow.

We are building something where we can connect, collaborate, and show up for each other, both on and off the dance floor. Soon this will turn into a directory where you can easily find professionals of all makes and models in our community, but for now this is a celebration of our launch & the people within our community.

Portrait Day - April 19th

In lieu of Sundown Swing on April 19th, we’ll be hosting a Westie-Owned Headshot Day at The Platform.

We’re opening up our fiberglass cyclorama, generously made available by our friends at Red Line Studios, to support the talented photographers and hairstylists in our community. Photographers will be available in one-hour blocks, with sessions booked in 15-minute increments. Each session is $40, with the majority of proceeds going directly to the photographers.

The goal is simple: give our community’s professionals a chance to walk away with clean, current headshots for both personal and professional use. Each session includes one edited headshot of your choice, with the option to purchase additional selects directly from your photographer.

Our very own Sam Smith will also be on-site ahead of the sessions, offering light styling, updos, and a limited number of dry cuts so you can feel your best stepping in front of the camera.
