About The Studio
The Platform
The Platform was created as a homegrown space for WCS dancers — designed to feel welcoming, focused, and uniquely ours. Every detail of our Manhattan dance studio is built to support both learning and community, making it the perfect home for West Coast Swing classes and socials in NYC.
Private Elevator Access
Our studio is accessible only by private elevator, giving you a sense of privacy and security the moment you arrive.
On arrival to the studio, enter the elevator and press the ring doorbell so we can bring you up to the our floor - there is no audio, so just shoot us a thumbs up!
Small Batch Environment
Classes are intentionally capped at around 12 dancers, creating a small group class experience that feels like the personal attention of a private lesson, but with the energy of a group setting.
Dance Shoes Encouraged (Not Required)
We love when dancers bring proper dance shoes to protect their bodies and our floors, but they’re not a requirement. Clean, comfortable shoes that let you move are always welcome.

The Loft NY
The Loft in Chinatown is our Sunday home for West Coast Swing in New York City. Cozy, welcoming, and community-driven, it’s where dancers gather almost every week for workshops, our Sundown Swing Social, and the tradition of sharing a meal afterward.
Every Sunday also starts with a beginner-friendly West Coast Swing class — perfect for anyone completely new to dance or WCS. No partner is needed, just bring yourself and a willingness to try something new.
More than just a venue, The Loft has become another home of the NYC WCS community, offering a space to learn, connect, and celebrate together week after week.
Spacious & Social
With high ceilings and a wide, welcoming floor, The Loft is built for Large Batch classes and socials. It’s where the NYC WCS community comes together in full force, with the energy of rotating partners, big-room momentum, and the buzz of shared progress.
Community Energy
Sundays at The Loft flow seamlessly from training to social dancing. Three back-to-back classes build skills at every level, leading right into Sundown Swing — our weekly social, where you get to put everything into motion.
Shoes Welcome, Comfort First
Dance shoes are always encouraged to protect your body and the floor, but they’re never required. Clean, comfortable footwear that lets you move freely is always welcome.
Heart of Chinatown
Centrally located with easy access to public transit, The Loft sits in one of NYC’s most vibrant neighborhoods — making it the perfect backdrop for both dancing and community time.
Community Meals
After every event at The Loft, we head out together for a shared meal. It’s one of our favorite traditions already — a chance to connect beyond the dance floor. We’ve already shared meals tied to our students’ cultural heritage, and we’d love to keep that going. If there’s a cuisine close to your heart — especially one that supports restaurants in our local community — let us know. We’ll add it into the rotation and fill those tables together.
Soundtrack of the Night
Expect everything from classic blues to today’s rhythms. Every playlist is handpicked to spark connection and keep the floor buzzing, with rotating DJs who know how to match energy, variety, and inspiration in every song.
