Sundown Swing – West Coast Swing Sundays in NYC

Join us on select Sundays in Manhattan’s Chinatown for an afternoon and evening of West Coast Swing classes and social dancing in NYC.

Our Sundown Swing Sundays combine focused group classes with a welcoming social dance where the community comes together to learn, connect, and enjoy great music.

The afternoon begins with an intermediate class for experienced dancers, followed by an absolute beginner West Coast Swing class — perfect for anyone completely new to the dance. No partner or prior dance experience is required.

Stay afterward for Sundown Swing, our afternoon social where dancers of all levels come together to practice, meet new people, and enjoy the West Coast Swing community.

Whether you're taking your first West Coast Swing class in NYC or already dancing regularly, Sundays at The Loft offer a relaxed and welcoming way to spend the afternoon.

Sunday Class Schedule

2:00 PM — Level 2 Class (Vault Line)
For dancers who already know the core West Coast Swing patterns. Explore new patterns, variations, and creative ideas to expand your dancing.

3:00 PM — Beginner Class (Fundamental Line)
Perfect for anyone completely new to West Coast Swing. Learn the essential patterns and fundamentals in a welcoming environment.
No partner or prior dance experience required.

4:00 – 7:00 PM — Sundown Swing Social
Our West Coast Swing social where dancers from across NYC come together to practice, meet new people, and enjoy great music.

After the Social — Community Dinner
Our Sundays don’t end when the music stops. After the dance, we head out together for a community dinner in Chinatown, one of our favorite traditions and a chance to connect beyond the dance floor.

Community Dinners

Our Sundays don’t end when the music does. After every Loft event, we head out together for a shared meal, one of our favorite traditions and a chance to connect beyond the dance floor.

We’ve already celebrated meals tied to students’ cultural heritage, and we’d love to keep that going while supporting local restaurants in the neighborhood. If there’s a cuisine close to your heart, or a spot you’d love to bring the community to, please share it with us in the form below, we’ll add it into the rotation and fill out that restaurant together.
