Nicole Zwerlein
Nicole started dancing West Coast Swing in 2009. She loves this dance so much and firmly believes anyone of any age, background, experience can excel at and enjoy WCS! Nicole invests many hours in coaching and private instruction. In her time training, she's competed 6 choreographed partner routines, performed on 3 team routines, stepped into a leadership role of a university swing group, and was an instructor + community leader in the Michigan dance scene.
She now resides in Charlotte, North Carolina while continuing to travel the WCS event circuit, competing in the Champion and Classic routine divisions. Nicole loves sharing her experiences and knowledge via teaching and connecting with all community members.
Special thanks
In October 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming Nicole Zwerlein (WSDC Champion) to The Platform in New York City. During her visit, Nicole taught our Small Batch Strategy Line and Blue Line classes, sharing her deep experience and creative perspective with dancers in our community.
Her sessions focused on refining musicality, phrasing, and planning on the social floor, while helping dancers develop stronger connection and intention in their West Coast Swing.
Alongside the group classes, Nicole also offered a limited number of private West Coast Swing lessons, providing personalized coaching for dancers looking to dive deeper into technique, musicality, and competition preparation.
We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to host Nicole and bring her insight and artistry to the NYC West Coast Swing community.
