ABOUT Liberty Swing Dance Championships

Liberty Swing Dance Championships is one of the cornerstone events on the East Coast West Coast Swing circuit — and one of our few true hometown competitions. Held annually in New Jersey, Liberty consistently draws a deep and talented field across all divisions, from Newcomer through Champions, making it both a proving ground and a celebration of the community we’re proud to be part of.

For us, this one carries a little extra weight. It’s where friends fill the ballroom, students step onto a big floor close to home, and the energy feels personal. With strong production, packed social dancing, and high-level competition, Liberty blends prestige with connection — and it’s always a weekend we circle on the calendar.
