Welcome!
What is West Coast Swing?
West Coast Swing (or “WCS”) is a smooth, playful partner dance built around connection, improvisation, and musicality.
It’s danced to everything from pop, R&B, soul, and funk to blues and contemporary hits — making it one of the most versatile social dances in the world.
Unlike ballroom styles with strict choreography, WCS is all about conversation through movement. On TikTok or Instagram you may have stumbled across a video of West Coast Swing that claims “These two have never danced together before now - watch what happens next!”
You’ll learn how to lead and follow freely, adapting to the rhythm and personality of each song and partner. This dance is a conversation, and we are eager for you to contribute your voice.
Whether you’re drawn to the groove, the creativity, or the community — WCS meets you where you are and grows with you.

How Can I get started?
The best way to fall in love with West Coast Swing is to experience the people who make it special.
Start with our Fundamentals line (4:00pm) — a small, focused class that introduces you to the rhythm, connection, and flow at the heart of this dance. You’ll learn the essentials while meeting others who are just beginning their own WCS journey.
Once you’ve got the basics, which you will know by the end of your first class, join us for Sundown Swing (5:00pm) — our weekly community social that brings dancers together for music, movement, and connection.
The evening begins with an approachable lesson, rolls into a laid-back social, and often ends with dinner and conversation around the corner. It’s the perfect way to get to know the community and see what makes this dance so addicting.
You don’t need a partner or prior experience — just comfortable shoes, an open mind, and a curiosity to move.
Everything else, we’ll teach you along the way.
